Hi, My mother has been diagnosed with Malignant Mesothelioma. Subsequently she has been operated and Extra Plural Pneumenectomy performed. That has been followed with Radiation Therapy. Now CT – Scan has been done, which shows collection of fluid in left hemi thorex (same area where surgery performed) and one suspicious nodule. Are there any radiologists who can review the CT findings for correct second opinion?
I know, I have option of visiting a qualified Radiologist, but I would want some one from recognized cancer institute and having experience of Mesothelioma / lung cancer to do the review. I can send the CD or alternatively, I can upload CD on to a file hosting website and provide link for download and review.

I know you have to have a company in hazmat suits come out and they seal the area off and work with a machine that draws in the air and fibers, but isn’t there still some residue in the air and on things that can be dangerous? I’m worried I should sell the house and not live here myself during or after the renovation. I’m worried about mesothelioma… lung cancer from inhaling bits of asbestos. So far, I’ve just not touched the asbestos… hoping not stirring it up would be safer, but now I have problems with my boiler and will have to have it replaced, which means dealing with the asbestos problem. sigh.

My husband was diagnosed last month with Mesothelioma (Asbestos-Related Cancer) he will be getting a port in Thursday, then starting chemo next week. Already had his right lung talcumed to chest wall lining. What should I expect to come besides the side effects of chemo.? I guess what do I do?

I have a bone marrow disorder called ‘essential thrombocythemia’. This means I have too many blood platelets.
Prognosis is that I “over clot” causing potential heart attack and stroke. THe treatment is to use chemotherapy to reduce platelets: namely hydroxyurea, and/or angrelide, or interferon alpha. Meanwhile, I have read Dr Weils book ‘Spontaneous Healing’ and wonder if anybody in the world knows of a way to reduce platelets without resorting to these chemo meds. The chemo meds knock out your healing ability as they also reduce white blood cell and red blood cell counts (along with the platelets). Thanks!

My mother is a case of stage IV throat (oropharynx) cancer and has completed 9 rounds of chemotherapy and 40 rounds of radiotherpy? She is unable to eat anything due to the side effects of radio therapy and of course the cancer present in the oropharynx part. If he objects so much to them why does he continue to answer questions in this section by trying to put off those who are genuinely seeking help or guidance. There are some things conventional medicine can’t help with and that is why we are here?! Personally I think Dr Frank needs EFT or Hypnotherapy to help with his irrational thoughts and fears of Alternative therapies. What you think guys?

Looking to enter into the alternative medical field and would like to do an apprenticeship. I don’t have experience or a degree in a related field, but thought doing an apprenticeship would be a good way to get into the field. Thoughts on this?
