If so, how long did / have they lived with this type of cancer? And at what stage were they when diagnosed?

My mom died in December ‘06. We don’t know where she was ever exposed to asbestos. Do you know where your mother was exposed?

i was diagnosed 2 years ago, i have been told it is a very rare cancer. I had peritonectomy surgery and heated intra peritoneal chemotherapy and hoped to see how many others are out there.

Hi. I was exposed to asbestos, silica and hydrofluoric acid fumes on the job for 10 years (20 yrs ago). In 05 I went into respiratory failure. An open lung biopsy turned up pleural Atypical Mesothelial Hyperplasia. The pulmonologists say it is asbestos related but it won’t go any further. The brave people I’ve talked to who are dealing with mesothelioma say they had Atypical Mesothelial Hyperplasia at one time.
Anyone know the stages of Mesothelioma?? thanks
