I have an appt. tomorrow to get acupuncture for my thyroid. I have been struggling for years with hypothyroidism and after years of unsuccessful treatment I have decided to give this a try.. but it is very expensive and I just don’t know if it is worth it. have any of you had any success? I tried asking this in the health section but got no answers.

Natural path, chiropractor, and so on….. If so, can you claim supplements (vitamins) if prescribed and bought through a Natural path or Alternative care?

I’m suffering from pain all over my body and the doctor said it could be fibromyalgia. I don’t like tradicional drugs products, so I am looking for a natural one.

Just curious, that’s all. Doint research.

orthodox-say you have flu,they give you painkillers or antibiotics,everybody gets the same thing,which doesnt cure the problem,just cover it up,and make you worse long term.
alternative,say you have flu,and are getting treated with homeopathy,then a remedy will be found specifically for your symptoms.and you will be treated as a whole.everything is taken into account,from diet to dreams.
what would you prefer?

I have a bone marrow disorder called ‘essential thrombocythemia’. This means I have too many blood platelets.
Prognosis is that I “over clot” causing potential heart attack and stroke. THe treatment is to use chemotherapy to reduce platelets: namely hydroxyurea, and/or angrelide, or interferon alpha. Meanwhile, I have read Dr Weils book ‘Spontaneous Healing’ and wonder if anybody in the world knows of a way to reduce platelets without resorting to these chemo meds. The chemo meds knock out your healing ability as they also reduce white blood cell and red blood cell counts (along with the platelets). Thanks!

My question is, why are there so many questions about drugs, illegal and prescribed? This is alternative medicine not synthesized drugs with major side effects. I, of course, am not referring to questions about replacing or substitutes for prescribed drugs. Thank you.
